Old Dog, New Tricks
Greyhound Racing is a pastime that has long been a big part of Birmingham’s sporting heritage, but it’s very easy to overlook the fact that over 9000 greyhounds are retired from racing each year. So what happens when a dog is no longer fast enough?
Well thanks to the hard work of the volunteer led Hall Green Retired Greyhound Trust, a lucky few have the chance to live out their days with new owners and new homes. We spent the day meeting some of the people who work tirelessly to help these wonderful animals.
